Velasof Tablet is a combination medicine composed of Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir. It is used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection. It is an infection caused by a virus that attacks your liver and leads to pain and swelling. Velasof Tablet works by stopping the growth of viruses in your body, thus reducing the infection. This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a known history of hepatitis B infection (serious liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus). Velasof Tablet may cause side effects like chills, headache, irritability, diarrhoea, etc. Most of them are temporary and resolved on their own. Consult your doctor if these side effects are persistent or bothering you. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it. Velasof Tablet can be taken with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor. Your dose will be dependent on the severity of your condition. Try to take this medicine same time every day to maintain a constant level of medicine in your body.
